Just over seven minutes into the first period, Mason made a save on a Craig Cunningham shot and grabbed his right leg. He was eventually helped into the locker room and replaced in net by Ray Emery. The Flyers stated that he was a lower-body injury and that he will be further evaluated on Sunday. Mason had left a practice on Wednesday and underwent an MRI to take a look at an unspecified injury, but the results were negative and he was in net for Thursdays victory over the Washington Capitals.
